Please join us as we pay tribute to founder and benefactor, Elmer Darling on the occasion of the Centennial of the Burke Mountain Club.  All are invited for this free event that includes live music from the St. Johnsbury Band and the Drumatics, square dancing demonstrations, old fashioned games, kids’ activities, craft demonstrations, and a display of Mr. Darling’s personal belongings.  And of course, what would a party be without cake and ice cream!  The White Schoolhouse Museum on the grounds will be open to provide a glimpse into life in the community 200 years ago.  The schoolhouse was preserved and moved from its original location by Mr. Darling in 1923 and served as the Burke Historical Society.
