CASTELLO: James Michael, 51, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was born Nov. 21, 1951, the second son of Luigi and Alice (Todd) Castello. He graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1970, and spent many years in Florida.
His various interests and abilities led him to many areas of employment, including cable television installation, post office clerk, salesman, truck driver and ski instructor. At the time of his death he was employed as a salesman for Kinetico Quality Water of Las Vegas.
He was a kind and affectionate man with a wonderfully alert mind, which absorbed everything both practical and philosophical. He loved adventure, travel, people and God. His memory will be cherished by family and friends.
James was predeceased by his father, Luigi, March 28, 1985; and a brother, Peter, March 11, 1982.
For the past three years he lived in Bridgton, Maine, with his wife Katherine (Perry) Castello, his five stepchildren, and his loyal dog True who survives him. He is also survived by his mother, Alice Castello of Bath; his children from a previous marriage, Michael \"Levi\" of Plymouth, N.H., Sarah of Austin, Texas, and Ariel of Woodsville; one grandson, Billy; and two brothers, Paul of Bath, and Joseph of Kitchner, Ontario, Canada.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville. Steven Chase, a very close friend, will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to one\'s favorite charity.
Ricker Funeral Home, Woodsville, is in charge of arrangements.
