PALMER: Samuel S., 71, formerly of 10 Maple Street, Woodsville, N.H., died Wednesday evening, Dec. 5, 2001, at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, N.H., after an extended illness.

He was born in Littleton, N.H., on Jan. 13, 1930, the son of Fred A. and Marion (Boyce) Palmer.

Sam was a self-employed handyman, and former member of the Woodsville United Methodist Church and Order of Moose.

Surviving relatives include two sisters, Doris Fall of Berlin, Vt., and Beverly Boyce of Fair Haven, Vt.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Ida Blair, in 1987.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 1 p.m. in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sugar Hill, N.H. The Rev. Elizabeth Davis, Woodsville United Methodist Church, will officiate.

It is requested that memorial donations be made to the Grafton County Nursing Home Association, 3855 Dartmouth College Highway, North Haverhill, NH 03774.

Ricker Funeral Home, Woodsville, N.H., is in charge of arrangements.
