RODRIGUE: Rose Aimee, 80, of Alder Street, Island Pond, passed away at her home, Thursday, March 15, 2001.

She was born in Latuque, Quebec, Canada, Feb. 5, 1921, the daughter of Eugene and Florida (Rouillard) Gingras.

Rose married Rosaire Rodrigue in 1941. They moved to Vermont in 1948. She enjoyed working on the family farm with Rosaire for over 15 years, until his death in 1965. Rose also enjoyed braiding rugs and doing puzzles. She liked to grow raspberries and make jams, jellies and pies with them. Rose especially enjoyed Christmas with her family.

She is survived by her children, Monique Bailey and her friend Robert Army of Lyndonville, and Raymond Rodrigue and his wife Gloria of Coventry; her brother, Armand Gingras and his wife Paulette of Quebec City, Quebec; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, one sister, and her special friend, Leo Lussier.

Friends may call at the St. James Parish Hall in Island Pond, Monday, March 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 20, at St. James Catholic Church in Island Pond at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Mattison officiating. Spring interment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery in Island Pond.
