Rogene Weed Baxter, 83, born and raised in Woodsville, N.H., and since 2010 a resident of Walnut Creek, Calif., passed away in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023.
A graduate of Woodsville High School, Rogene earned her RN at Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. Many years later she resumed her studies and completed her BA and MA degrees at JFK university in Orinda, California. She went on to form her own Management Consulting firm, which thrived for 33 years, and served as an adjunct faculty at JFK university for 5 years. In 1992 she received the School of Management Alumni of the Year award. Having a great love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, she was consistently active in serving her church communities in the many locations around the world where she took up residence with Dan, her husband of 62 years.
Rogene is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel P. Baxter of San Jose, Calif., her three children, her four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore H. Weed, her mother, Barbara B. Weed, and her sister, Elizabeth Weed Wyskiel.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at First Presbyterian Church in Concord, Calif.
