GLOVER — The Bread & Puppet Museum celebrates the beginning of its 44th season on Sunday, June 2 with an afternoon of music and short shows.
The audience will be treated to music and puppet shows by Meredith Holch, the Greensboro Youth World Harmony Chorus, Adam & Hayley, Clare Dolan of the Museum of Everyday Life, and the brand-new Ta-Ta Picture Dance Company.
On Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m., Bread & Puppet Theatre will perform its new show, Diagonal Life: Theory and Praxis, which examines our current precariously diagonal condition – on the verge of collapse, yet always capable of uprising. Diagonal Life animates the humorous, tragic and bewildering possibilities of diagonality with song, dance, magic, mechanism, and cardboard and paper maché puppets painted in Peter Schumann’s slapdash expressionist style.
This performance will also be held in the Paper Maché Cathedral at the Bread and Puppet Farm in Glover.
