Dartmouth Gospel Choir To Perform At Haskell Opera House June 12

DERBY LINE — Join the Dartmouth College Gospel Choir for an uplifting, energetic, and free concert at the Haskell Free Library and Opera House on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m.

The Dartmouth College Gospel Choir (DCGC) is comprised of a diverse mix of Dartmouth undergraduates, alumni and community singers from across the Northeast and around the globe. The DCGC will be performing a wide variety of gospel music ranging from traditional spirituals to modern day contemporary hits including many non-traditional, innovative surprises such as songs from Queen and the Golden-Globe winning soundtrack of “The Greatest Showman.” Previously the DCGC has performed for former U.S. President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C., at the World Bank headquarters for the international organization’s Christmas festivities, for elementary and high schools across Chicago, and abroad in Italy.

Now in his 16th year, award-winning Artistic Director Walt Cunningham, out of Chicago, continues to impress audiences with a stunning choir and novel programming.
