Bob Hersey, Chief Financial Officer, gave a presentation to the Corporators at their March 13 meeting. He gave a brief overview of the three projects slated for improvement: Renovations on the Birth Center will start around Nov. 1, which is a complete re-design of the unit. The current MRI will be replaced by a fixed-site unit; this project involves new construction and renovation with the goal to start this fall, provided all prerequisites are approved and in place. The Emergency Department seeks an improved design siting changes in patient population, changes in the way patients are processed, and changes in patient acuity. Corporators meet quarterly, and represent the communities in the hospital’s service area; they are important links in the essential communication system between members of our community and the hospital. Due to snow, Corporator meetings originally scheduled for this week have been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, March 28, at 7:30 a.m.
