Kally Lavoie, of Littleton, N.H., completed a 10-week summer internship in New York City as part of Elon University's Elon in New York City summer program. Lavoie spent the summer interning at Hanna Lee Communications, a public relations firm that specializes in the Food, Beverage and Hospitality Industry.
Lavoie was part of the Elon in New York City summer program in which Elon University students spend the summer living, learning and working in the city. Forty students lived in Chelsea, Manhattan while interning and taking classes to explore the city and network with professionals in the city in various fields.
Lavoie is a senior studying Strategic Communications. She recently earned a place on the president's list for the spring 2014 semester. The president's list is composed of students with no grade below an A-minus in a minimum of 12 semester hours. In June 2014, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and was elected the student ambassador of the chapter.
Lavoie is the daughter of Glenn Lavoie and Kimmy Lavoie of Littleton.
