Fifteen heads of school from China visited St. Johnsbury Academy July 28 to learn more about the school's summer Advanced Placement Institute and to explore opportunities for partnerships in teaching and learning with the Academy.

In an example of such international outreach, this summer two instructors from China attended the AP Institute at the Academy.

"I attended AP Calculus AB in the first week and Pre-AP English in the second week. This two-week program was wonderful, enabling me to get a intuitive understanding of AP course structure and content as well as a deeper awareness of the AP examination, including problem-solving, strategies, and standard grading procedures," said Vicky Zhang of USAEDU International Consulting Group, Shanghai, China. Zhang, and the second instructor from China, Weijia Yin, addressed the delegate of Chinese heads of school during the visit to share their experiences at the Academy.
