The first day of school for all students at Groveton High School is Tuesday, Aug. 28, beginning at 8 a.m. Sixth graders will report to Room 322; seventh graders report to the library; eight graders report to the cafeteria; ninth graders will report to Room 113; students in grades 10 and 11 will report to the gymnasium; and seniors are to report to Room 121.
The fall athletic season began Aug. 13 with practices for boys and girls soccer.
The guidance office opens today, Aug. 20, for students who need to register for school or for those students who have questions about their class schedules.
New student orientation will be held in the cafeteria on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. School policies and procedures will be reviewed and students will be assigned lockers and given their class schedules.
Robert Scott will be assuming the duties as assistant principal. Scott resides in Lancaster, N.H. and is leaving Lancaster Elementary School to join our administrative team in Groveton. Sam Natti joins our teaching staff in our Special Education department. Natti has worked previously in the Lisbon Regional School District.
Parents and students are encouraged to access information about the school through our website, www.SAU58.org and athletic schedules and school event schedules may be accessed through the www.digitalsports.com website. Parents may gain access to their child's grades through our website as well. Login information to this site is available by contacting Karen Conroy at 636-1619.
Students and parents are reminded that parking around the high school is limited. You are encouraged to walk to school if possible or car pool in order to avoid parking shortages. The parking lot across from the school has been designated by the town as a "permit only" parking lot for Groveton High School staff members.
