The pupils in grades 1 and 2 at Walden School entertained their grandparents at a brunch Sept. 16.

Under the guidance of their teacher, Kim Larose, each one introduced their grandparents. They sang "Hello World," and each pupil had a tray of books and chose one to read to his/her grandparent.

"Mother Goose Bird" was sung next with actions. Some math games were put out on the tables in the multipurpose room and pupils and a grandparent chose the one they wanted to play.

Benjamin Clark, a parent, played his guitar and encouraged all to sing along with familiar songs.

The brunch table was loaded with several fruit juices, fruit cup. several breads, coffee cake and muffins that the pupils had made with the help of Larose and several helpers. Each student had made a separate cutout beetle with his/her name on it and a laminated place mat of construction paper with decorations for use on the tables for the brunch.
