NHS STUDENTS HELP MAINTAIN TRAILS IN MEMORY OF HAROLD SONNICHSEN -- Woodsville High School's National Honor Society members gave back to their community on Oct. 5. The students met at Bedell Bridge, where they cleaned trails dedicated to the late Harold M. Sonnichsen. Some of Woodsville's finest students were given the responsibility to maintain the two trails which wind around shady trees and scenic views. The members picked up fallen branches and painted two benches which overlook a peaceful marsh. The NHS members look forward to helping with trail maintenance in the future. There are also plans to bring more benches to the trail by next spring. Above, Lottie Page and Tori Clough stain a bench on the trail; below are the students that worked on Oct. 5: from left, Jacob Pushee, Derek Maccini, Christopher Sarkis, Christopher Charles, Tori Clough, Michael Lamarre, Lottie Page and Daniel Abrahamsen. Susan Brown and her brother Eric Sonnichsen have provided this opportunity of community service for the NHS students.
