Cop Assault Suspect Shows Up To Daily Check-In Drunk

Nicholas Collins after his arrest in April.

LANCASTER, N.H. -- A Lancaster man accused of reaching for a police officer's gun and taking swings at him in April is back in jail after authorities said he violated his bail conditions by showing up to his daily check-in drunk.

As a result, bail for Nicholas J. Collins, initially set at $2,500 cash and $25,000 personal recognizance, was revoked during his arraignment July 2 and he was taken back to Coos County jail, where he is currently being held for lack of $7,500 cash bail.
