NEWPORT --United Christian Academy has an after-school Chess Club. Thanks to the hard work of James Lillicrap (Grade 6), students interested in playing chess after school can gather for a "battle" of pawns, rooks, knights, bishops, queens and kings.
The Annual Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction will take place May 5. UCA is accepting donations of new items, services and gift certificates or items to be auctioned that evening.
