Did you know that over 17,000 orthodontists globally celebrate National Orthodontic Health Month every October? This is also the month when children eagerly await the festivities that Halloween brings. The accompanying candy can be a scary time for teeth however!

As part of National Orthodontic Health Month and a way to donate those sticky treats that hurt teeth and dental appliances, Hiller Orthodontics in Littleton, N.H. invites the community to join forces with to help collect "Treats 4 Troops." This campaign aims to collect any type of treat for the soldiers to enjoy.

The campaign began Oct. 14, and will run through Nov. 14. Care packages will be sent to troops serving both domestically and overseas. Wrapped candy can be delivered to any Hiller Orthodontic location, as well as to participating schools.

Area schools participating in the program include: Lisbon Regional School, Lakeway Elementary School, Whitefield Elementary School, Lancaster Elementary School, Bethlehem Elementary School, Waterford School in Waterford, Vt., Good Shepherd Catholic School in St. Johnsbury, and Newark Street School in Newark, Vt.
