During the Fall Foliage Celebration on Oct. 1, students from the Class of 2014 at Blue Mountain Union School in Wells River put together a float based on the theme "Neighbors Helping Neighbors." To support this theme, the students worked on and donated a cord of wood to Melanie Minshull and Michael St. Martin who lost all of their wood during Tropical Storm Irene.

"Thank you so much to the Blue Mountain Class of 2014. A fantastic group of girls and boys joined Tom Page to help deliver and unload the fresh cord of wood to our home in South Ryegate. During the recent flood of 'Irene' we lost about four cords of wood along with numerous other items. After the enthusiastic group left our house, we had the best feeling come over us of how proud and thankful we are to be a part of this wonderful community," said Melanie and Michael of the students' efforts.
