Lisbon Regional School's CHAT (Children Helping Animals Together ) Club is looking for an individual or business who would like to sponsor their club.

CHAT's main goals are to help children and their families learn about animal care and to work with area humane organizations to bring low-cost spay and neuter solutions to the North Country. The Club would also like to donate the Kind News Human Education subscription to the K-6 classes in the school. This publication is aligned with the Common Core state standards. Members of the CHAT club plan to visit school classrooms to teach children about caring for animals, and how they can make a difference for animals in their own communities.

Anyone interested in supporting the club can contact Rachel Bruce, club advisor, at Lisbon Regional School at (603) 838-6672 or rabruc@lisbon.k12.nh.us.

CHAT will be hosting a low cost feline spay and neuter clinic at Lisbon Regional on May 1. The reduced cost is $25 per cat. On the day of the surgery, each cat will receive an initial exam, spay or neuter surgery, Capstar flea treatment, nail trim, ear cleaning, a Go Home Happy surgery bag and -- if the felines are over 12-weeks-old -- a rabies vaccination. If someone would like to register their cat they can call 447-1373 or visit www.rozziemay.org.
