The General Federation of Women's Clubs-New Hampshire is now seeking applicants for it's 2012 scholarship program. Two scholarships are being offered through GFWC-NH.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs - New Hampshire Scholarship: This scholarship is available to a male or female high school senior, residing in New Hampshire, who plans to attend any accredited university, college, technical or specialty school. This scholarship is based on community service, academic achievement, financial need, leadership, the applicant's individual determination and school activities. The scholarship amount of $1,000 will be paid to the institution at the beginning of the second semester.

Mrs. Dexter Otis Arnold Scholarship: This scholarship is available to a female resident of the State of New Hampshire graduating from high school who will enter an accredited New Hampshire college or university. Scholarship amount of $1,200 will be paid to the institution at the beginning of the second semester.

GFWC-NH has mailed applications for these scholarships to all area schools (Lisbon, Littleton, Franconia, Woodsville and Whitefield high schools), principals, guidance councilors and senior class advisors.

All applications must be postmarked by April 1. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 30. Each recipient and an adult companion will be invited to attend the Annual Meeting of GFWC-NH on May 11, 2012 where the scholarship award will be presented.
