Gilman students create creative cakes

CREATIVE CAKE DESIGNERS -- Choosing to do a collaborative project in art class, the eighth-grade girls at Gilman Middle School designed a six-tier cake using light-weight sculpting material. Each tier is brightly colored with visual elements that represent the unique personality of that student. Shown with their creation before it was placed on public display are: from left, Mandy Carr, Savannah Nelson, Emily Colby, Morgan Fenoff, Ashley Allin and Niah Colby. Lydia Walker-Wharton, the students' art teacher, inspires and encourages many art projects which can be noticed in the Lunenburg schools.
