CRAFTSBURY COMMON -- Mael LeScouezec, a senior this year at Craftsbury Academy, is one of fewer than 40 Vermont students to be recently named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. Selection for this prestigious academic scholarship program is determined by excellence in standardized test scores, academic strength, and participation in school and community activities.

Semi-Finalists are eligible to be considered as National Merit Scholars in the spring of 2015, and for the opportunity to win a variety of scholarship prizes. Since its founding in 1955, NMSC (The National Merit Scholarship Corporation) has recognized 3 million students and provided approximately 387,000 scholarships worth over $1.5 billion.
