Fourteen students have been honored by St. Johnsbury Academy's Department of Career and Technical Education as Students of the First Quarter, recognizing their "commitment to excellence and outstanding performance in their classes."

The honorees include seniors Weiyue (Ferria) Chen, a boarding student from China, in Entrepreneurship; Allison Brown from Monroe, N.H., Early Childhood Education (accelerated); Kara Goolman of St. Johnsbury, Culinary 1; Elizabeth Tunny from Concord, Culinary 2; Nathan Nichols of St. Johnsbury, Automotive Technology 2; Tyler Barnes, also a St. Johnsbury resident, Auto Collision Repair and Painting; Lucas Wlkins from Waterford, Industrial Electricity; Joseph Hastings of St. Johnsbury, Built Environment; and Matthew Bissell from West Danville, Drafting.

In the Junior Class, Sarah Powers of St. Johnsbury, Early Childhood Education; Sydney Earle from Waterford, Automotive Technology 1; and Dylan Simpson of Lyndonville, Electricity and Electronics. In the Sophomore Class, Elizabeth Houde of St. Johnsbury, Human Services/Public Safety; and Levi Willey, also a St. Johnsbury resident, Forestry.
