BURKLYN HOLIDAY MART VOLUNTEERS -- Recently, 17 Lyndon State College Upward students from six local high schools volunteered at the 44th Burklyn Arts Holiday Craft Fair, giving more than 80 hours collectively. The two-day event, held this year on the LSC campus, raised funds to support the arts in area schools and brought together juried crafters and artists from across the region. Students assisted in setting up the gym before the fair, helped crafters move wares in and out, acted as greeters, and delivered meals to hungry crafters. LSC Upward Bound is committed to supporting community activities and area non-profits. In 2014, Upward Bound students volunteered more than 3,300 hours in Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury, and Upward Bound is proud to have been a part of the Burklyn Arts Craft Fair festivities for nearly 20 years.
