In support of Rep. Bill Remick

To the Editor:

It has been my honor to serve with Rep. Remick in Concord for the past 6 years. Bill has been a leader and an inspiration in bi-partisan efforts and has had the respect of many from both sides of the isle for the courage to vote his conscience and speak for the people he serves. I am truly disgusted and angry at the 'New Republican' party for attacking Bill in such a mean-spirited way. He has always served honorably, not crumbling under the pressure and strong armed rule of partisan leadership. The Democrats have always appreciated his bipartisan nature. I, for one, have always admired that quality in Bill. My son, former Representative Scott Merrick, served on the Education Committee with Bill. Scott always held Bill in high regard and learned much from his method of examining all the issues from a fair-minded perspective. I know Rep. Remick will be missed in Concord.

Thanks for all you did to help the citizens of Coos District 2. I wish you happy trails on this next part of your life's journey, Bill.

Rep. Evalyn Merrick

Coos County, District 2

Concord, N.H.
