Stores and Black Friday

To the Editor:

I would like to add my two cents to Black Friday, or the stores opening up on Thanksgiving. All it comes down to is the almighty dollar, GREED. To hell with the help wanting to spend time with family.

It's not bad enough that the stores start promoting Christmas in September, if not before, now they want to disrupt Thanksgiving completely. Pretty soon they will be no Thanksgiving, just Christmas from July 4th to the new year.

You have stores like TOY'S R US, TJ Maxx and Wal-Mart opening on the eve of black Friday, one at nine. What can a few hours different make?

I saw a cute cartoon the other day, it was a turkey talking to Santa and telling him to get back in his sleigh, November was his. I agree.

You stores back off and let the help enjoy the holidays with their families! I am willing to bet that none of the execs or upper crust will be in the stores. They will be home with family, friends and or sleeping and making a hell of alot more doing that then they pay their help for being there on Thanksgiving. Of course if you have a job in this screwed up economy good for you, but ...

Keep smiling and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
