Support Jeff Woodburn

To the Editor:

My wife, Mary, and I were talking about Jeff Woodburn, candidate for State Senate in NH District 1, and she suggested that Jeff would be the same kind of politician as Senator that Ray Burton is as Executive Councilor - that is, someone who hears and represents all the constituents in this district, regardless of whether they supported or voted for him.

Then I just learned that John Harrigan, the journalist and metaphorical voice of northern and rural New Hampshire, had come to the same conclusion, that Jeff is a lot like Ray.

Ray Burton is a legend in New Hampshire political life. He knows that I am a Democrat and that I don't agree with him on some things, but it has never slowed him down in responding to my inquiries or discussing things that we think are important for New Hampshire generally.

In Jeff Woodburn we have an opportunity to send someone to Concord who truly knows and loves the North Country, and who is dedicated to serving ALL the people of the District. Like Ray.

And Jeff will listen to and work with people of every political stripe to achieve what works best for everyone. Like Ray.

What's not to like? We're voting for Jeff Woodburn for Senate.
