Governor Scott to Veto Marijuana Legalization Bill

Speaking at a press conference Wednesday, Gov. Phil Scott announced that he would veto the bill and send it back to the legislature with proposed changes.

Previously the governor had said he's not philosophically opposed to marijuana legalization, but he has concerns about safety.

Had the legislation passed, small amounts of marijuana would be legal to possess and grow for anyone over age 21.

We will have more details about his decision following the conclusion of the governor's press conference.
