First responders and Eversource Energy crews responded to three poles and a transformer that were blown onto Route 302 in Bethlehem by The Rocks Estate early Thursday morning from high storm winds. The road was closed for more than five hours. The storm also caused a power outage in Lyman and loss of Internet and telephone service in towns that included Littleton and Bethlehem. BETHLEHEM — Thursday’s wind and rain storm, while hitting southern New Hampshire and other New England states hard, didn’t leave the North Country unscathed.

High winds took down utility infrastructure in Bethlehem on Route 302 hill near The Rocks Estate, between the Rocks entrance and Brook Road, prompting the road’s closure from about 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
