Colonnade Inn Employee Facing Embezzlement Charge

The former night clerk at the Colonnade Inn in Lyndon has been accused by police of embezzling $17,000.

Lyndonville Police Chief Jack Harris says Kaileigh Demers, 28, of St. Johnsbury, has been cited to appear in court on July 29 on charges of embezzlement and grand larceny. Police said Demers had worked at the motel for about a year and-a-half and that the alleged thefts took place between October 2018 to April 2019.
