DALTON — The proposal by Casella Waste Systems (CWS) for a landfill in Forest Lake had two town boards busy this week, and both say the company’s plans for Dalton will create a challenge for the town.

On Monday, CWS representatives, that included CEO John Casella, visited the Dalton Board of Selectmen to say they recently met with state and federal agency representatives and gave them information about their plan.
