LUNENBURG — Nearly three dozen citizens - mostly from Gilman and Lunenburg, and a handful from Lyndon - turned out for a meeting Monday night about the Kingdom East School District’s plans to close the Gilman School if a $24 million bond vote today in all eight Kingdom East towns is passed by voters.

Daylong voting today on the bond package to make substantial improvements to three of the schools under the Kingdom East umbrella - Burke, Concord and Lunenburg - will be happening in those three communities plus Lyndon, Newark, Sheffield, Sutton and Wheelock.
