State police are investigating a Jan. 19 accident on Rt. 105 in Newport Town that left the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.
Troopers from the Derby barracks say Monica Donofrio, 36, of Newport Town was running on the westbound travel lane of Rt. 105 nearby Eastern Avenue. She was wearing dark clothing and a westbound 2022 Ford F-150 operated by Lisa Lessard, 55, of St. Johnsbury, struck Lessard police said.
Donofrio was transported to North Country Hospital in Newport and then to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Her injuries were listed as life-threatening.
