BETHLEHEM — In what is likely a first for the 220-year-old community, the gazebo Porta-Potty, a town staple used for years by residents and visitors alike during concerts and events, is believed to have been stolen, leaving police scrambling for clues on how an object of such heft could be so easily pinched.

“I’m working on sniffing out the case now,” Bethlehem Police Chief Michael Ho-Sing-Loy said Tuesday afternoon, soon after he was informed by town administrative assistant April Hibberd that it was gone.
