A trespass case against a St. Johnsbury man was resolved on Monday in Caledonia Superior Court with his plea of no contest.
John R. Allen, 61, was ordered to pay $205 by June 30 for the crime he committed at the Subway shop in St. Johnsbury on Feb. 28.
On that day, St. Johnsbury Police Sgt. Mark Bickford was called to the Subway shop by an employee who said Allen was there and there was a no trespass order against him. Bickford met with Allen at the restaurant and was told by Allen that he thought, since the no trespass order was over a year old, he believed it was expired. Bickford told Allen that there is no expiration date on a no trespass order.
The initial notice against trespass was issued on Nov. 10, 2016.
