Superior Court: North Country Man Sentenced To Prison For Arson

WHITEFIELD — The former Littleton man who burned down the Grand View Lodge in Twin Mountain after squatting in it to sleep and starting a fire while drunk to keep warm has been sentenced to a term in New Hampshire State Prison.

Richard J. Vaughan, 30, was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison in Concord on a Class B felony charge of of criminal mischief, though the minimum sentence could be reduced upon successful completion of a drug and alcohol counseling program.
