A 911 transcript from May 2 indicates suspended Dalton Fire and Rescue Chief Ron Sheltry told dispatch his entire crew will be standing down from entering a home after a resident, on the floor and in need of medical attention, said he didn’t want Sheltry in his home, but the other responders could enter.

The incident reveals what has been ongoing tension and bad blood between the resident, Ted Barden, and his wife, former Dalton Selectman Kathy Barden, and Sheltry and his wife, Carol Sheltry, a new selectman who is also a member of Dalton Fire and Rescue.
