PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — Police say the passenger in a car that struck a tree in Rhode Island has died and the driver has been charged.

Pawtucket police say 37-year-old Steven Dalomba was taken to the hospital after the crash at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. He died at the hospital.

The driver, 36-year-old Justin Feid, was charged with driving to endanger, resulting in death. He was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Both men are from Pawtucket.

Feid was arraigned at the hospital on Tuesday and held on $10,000 bail. He did not enter a plea and was referred to the public defender's office.
