All of the town's 15 special appropriations requests got funded Tuesday in all day voting, including money for such organizations as Umbrella Inc. and the St. Johusbury Athenaeum.

Memorial and Veterans Days: Voters overwhelmingly supported spending $190 for the observance of these holidays. The final results were 1,036 to 225. Northeast Kingdom Youth: Services: Voters OKd the spending of $4,512 to support the programs of this organization, the final vote being relativeTy close, 787 to 467. St. Johnsbury Sr. Citizens Center: The $4,500 being requested by this group was supported by voters with a final vote of 989 to 272. Public Skating Rinks: Residents here gave their OK to appropriating $1,800 to maintain and operate this recreational activity. The final vote was 793 to 464. Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce Information Booth: Residents decided to endorse this organization's request for $1,127 to maintain the booth on Main Street. The final vote there was 940 to 317. St. Johnsbury Athenaeum: $90,000 was appropriated to the town's private library by an 864 to 391 final vote. St. Johnsbury Band: The band received a positive reception from voters Tuesday, receiving $855 to defray expenses. The final vote there was 889 to 368. Adult Learning Center: This organization asked for $180 and received it, money to be used for adult basic education services. The final vote on that was 828 to 430. Northeast Kingdom Mental Health Services Inc.: $7,184 was appropriated to this group by a majority of the voters, the unofficial tally being 822 to 436. Umbrella Inc.: This organization, which helps the victims of abuse, was given $3,800 by voters. The final vote was 782 to 472. Caledonia Home Health Care Agency Inc.: This organization received $21,500 in voting Tuesday. The vote was 974 to 288. CALEX: The local ambulance service received $25,935 from voters in a final tally of 928 to 330. Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium: The museum received $46,000 in funding this year by voters, in a final vote of 888 to 374. St. Johnsbury Kiwanis Club: Voters OK'd the spending of $12,000 to help with the expense of maintaining the Kiwanis pool durign the summer. The final vote was 890 to 364. Northeast Kingdom Area Agency on Aging: This group, which helps local seniors, was appropriated $7,200 by voters. The final results were 952 to 309.
