BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts State Police trooper's helped deliver his baby on the side of New Hampshire highway.
Trooper George D’Amelio was on duty when his wife, Christine, called to tell him she was going into labor. He quickly went home to pick her up and started driving to a hospital in New Hampshire. On the way there, D’Amelio had to pull his car over on a major highway in Bedford, New Hampshire, and deliver his son.
“Baby Jackson ‘Jack’ D’Amelio is doing great,” state police wrote Monday in a Facebook post. “What a little Trooper!”
New Hampshire State Police troopers and members of the Bedford Fire Department assisted D’Amelio with the delivery.
