In one of the shortest meetings in recent memory, the Lyndonville village trustees dealt with just three issues prior to the regular bi-weekly Lyndonville Electric Department briefing:
Village Municipal Assistant David Dill warned that residents in the area of Park and Center streets will be without water service for 2 to 3 hours Wednesday morning. Village crews will be shutting the water off at approximately 8:30-9 a.m. to facilitate the replacement of a fire hydrant. "It's not working right," explained Dill. Don't set your watch by the village clock because you may find yourself late for work. For some unknown reason, the clock, which sits atop St. Elizabeth Church on East Street, is not working properly. An investigation is under way to determine the reason why and fix it. The trustees approved a request from Dana Emery to transfer the water permit from his laundromat on Church Street to the new structure going up at the corner of Park amd Main streets.
