There will soon be a showdown between separatists and federalists north of the border.

Quebec's separatist Premier Lucien Bouchard announced last week that voters in his province will go to the polls this fall.

And if the separatists win, they have promised to hold another referendum on secession from Canada.

Given the serious issue facing Quebec voters, we trust they will turn out in large numbers - and then some.
