To the Editor,

I notice gay pride events are happening in various places around the U.S., which seems kind of a shame to me. Most of the folks I know in the gay community have plenty of personal attributes of which they can be justly proud; there\'s no need to flaunt the shame of homosexual behavior. Why push an ideology that destroys some of our best citizens, devastates the lives of so many youth, and threatens the basic structures of our society - our families?

Why indeed, especially when we know that homosexuality is not innate and need not be permanent? The American Psychological Association has recently published an article in its professional journal confirming the changeability of sexual orientation. Teachers take note! Politicians too! And anybody else who still thinks that homosexuality is unchangeable.
