Electric Cars & Soccer
To the Editor:
Electric cras and soccer go together. They are both creations of liberal and tree hugger groups of people determined to change the American landscape. Here in Vt and elsewhere around the US people drive trucks that kick butt and are powerful. I got stuck once with my VW Van back in the 70s and a dude with a Ford Bronco hooked a chain and the van lurched out of the deep mud. That was a V8 in a Ford, not a Toyota electric car 4 cyl with no power.
We love our huge 4 wheel drive SUVs too. Some of these babies are so huge you can’t park in a metered spot. We dig RVs too. The ones that one so long and big that you’ve got a freaking bus! Winnebegos for outdoor fun and camping. Stash the rifle and fishing poll and the family in the plush comfort and head out to the wilderness.
We never played much soccer. That was in 4th grade. We played football when we grew. In high school and college loved the contact and running with the ball and mashing into tackles. We played baseball. Hitting the ball so hard it’s a line drive was my thing.
Europeans call soccer football. It really is a game for them. They don’t drive big trucks and RVs. They don’t have real football or even baseball. Yippee coyote in the Good Old USA!
