Keep Vermont Nuclear Bomber Free

To the Editor:

As a member of the grassroots effort that supports resolution and advocating to prevent F-35s from coming to Vermont, I was pleased that Senator Kitchel was among the 23 senators who unequivocally rejected a senseless arms race by passing S.R.5, the Keep Vermont Nuclear Bomber Free Resolution. I feel pleased that my vote for her helps to secure a peaceful future for our district and for all Vermont. I was equally satisfied to know that my voice and those of my fellow activists were heard by the vast majority of our Senate.

That being said, I know we have yet to achieve our goal. I hope the resolution comes to a vote in the state House of Representatives in its next legislative session. To Representatives Beck and Campbell: Where do you stand on this issue so critical to the future of our region. The people of Vermont deserve a future unburdened by the threat of nuclear devastation.
