Let's follow-up, Wheelock taxpayers

To the Editor:

My husband and I, as Wheelock taxpayers, attended the Annual Town meeting on March 5th and are very gratified that the taxpayers came through loud and clear and voted overwhelmingly NO to Articles 2 & 3 of the Miller's Run School ( Unified district # 37) appropriation requests.

Our next step is to ensure we, the Wheelock taxpayers sign the petition (Currently ONLY available for signature at the transfer station) to dissolve the Unified district # 37 and possibly present it at the Miller's Run School Board re-organizational meeting on March 27th.

It's now up to the CNSU to endeavor to plan out a budget for the consolidation of Miller's Run's student body with Lyndon Town school for the greater benefit of the taxpayers within the Wheelock/Sheffield/Lyndon areas, all the while considering the increased benefits to the children with a chance to a more diversified classroom, as well as more appropriate staff, as Miller's Run have made some questionable choices recently .
