Libyan Embassy bombing

To the Editor:

For the past couple of weeks, all the news media has followed the September 11th attack on the

U.S. Embassy in Libya and the resulting deaths of the four embassy staff members. This definitely is a new "low" for our efforts to have good relations with Libya.

What is even more unfortunate is the "cover-up" perpetrated by the Obama Administration in its attempt to explain exactly why the September 11th attack on the embassy took place.

Fortunately, for the American public, the American "news media" has records of the news reports on the attack, and it pretty clearly indicates that President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton and UN Secretary Rice have all been involved in perpetration of the false "explanations" of what really caused the attack. This is both disgraceful and disrespectful, not only to the family of the four murdered individuals, but also to the credibility of the Office of the President of the United States.

It has been said many times that "history repeats itself".

Many of us older folks remember well, the scandal of the 1972 "break-in" of the Democratic Party Campaign offices in the Watergate complex. Investigations into the break-in eventually led back to Republican President Richard Nixon who, when first confronted, denied being involved at all. Eventually, and thankfully, the truth finally came out. Because President Nixon had secretly been "recording" conversations held in his office; those tapes revealed his involvement in the "break-in" and his lies to try and cover up the matter. Under threat of impeachment, President Nixon resigned....the first U.S. President to do so.

Thirty years later, we are again involved in another "government cover-up". This time the cover-up is involving not only Democratic President Obama, but also Secretary of State Clinton and UN Secretary Rice. Recordings of television interviews/ press releases all show that these three continued to perpetrate a completely "concocted and false story" when they knew the real truth prior to the attack that resulted in the death of the four embassy staff members.

The false explanations they gave to the American people and to our foreign allies, who have stood beside us for years has been seriously compromised. These three leading members of government have seriously damaged the credibility of our nation. If they will not resign, then they deserve impeachment.
