I would like to address this letter to the town of Sheffield, the PSB, and the ANR.
My husband and I are flatlanders. We started camping in Vermont in the 1970s and fell in love with this beautiful state. We had a dream: that being to buy land, build a home and spend our retirement years in Vermont. We worked hard, focused on our dream and it came true in 1997.
When you approved the wind turbines did you realize the impact that these huge monstrosities would have on so many peoples lives?
When driving down 91 "you see 'em," when fishing on Shadow Lake "you see 'em," traveling on Rt 5, "you see 'em," and while picnicking on Crystal Lake you "really see em," and yes, in our backyard "WE SEE 'EM."
In your quest for monetary gains you have completely ignored the reasons so many people love this state. We had the right to dream, fulfill that dream, you didn't have the right to destroy it.
