Proposed Community Forest

To the Editor:

Wouldn't it be nice to have a piece of land where we can gather to enjoy, learn, build recreational trails and watch a new forest grow! In March, residents of Easton, Franconia, Landaff and Sugar Hill will be asked to vote on the Cooley-Jericho Community Forest project that could offer this opportunity.

Having been recruited to join the committee several months ago because of my interest in hiking, mountain biking and trail work, I have already learned so much about this unique habitat and the potential it offers.

More than just another place to hike, a Community Forest offers people a chance to get involved and have a say in the management of the land. Find out more on the website and support the project at your next town meeting.
