To the Editor:
On Thursday June 13, having been invited by the family of one of their children, I had the privilege of attending the graduation ceremony of Cabot Middle School, class of 2013. Especially poignant was that part of the program in which each of the thirteen graduates talked about their middle school experiences and their current perspectives. Some of the presentations were extended, others brief, but to a person it was clear that each had experienced profound and all-to-the-good changes to their personalities, outlooks, and attitudes over those two years.
The occasion took place in the Cabot School Performing Arts Center which was filled to the brim with supportive families and friends. I later commented to my host that the experience made me remember how much fun it was to have been a kid!
