Time for webinars
To the Editor:
Just heard that Carroll County Legislators allocated $4,000 of taxpayers money for NH Association of Counties Convention in Whitefield, NH, Toni Pappas as President of the Association how much did the taxpayers of Hillsborough spend for your county delegation to attend?
How much did Rockingham and of course Coos, Stafford, Cheshire, Sullivan and Grafton spend to attend, also count all those county employees who stayed in the hotel and paid for meals at taxpayers expense. What did the taxpayers gain from this extravaganza?
I would love to know how much money from taxpayers statewide is spent for all the Town Clerks Associations, Police Chiefs Association, School boards association, etc is being spent on these groups conventions????
With today's ability to do webinars we don't need to spend taxpayers money for these events in my opinion. It certainly goes to hundreds of thousands of dollars. And given that the money is buried in town and city budgets few even know they are paying for these events.
Oh and did I mention we not only pay the employees hotel and meals we also pay their salaries for going. Time for webinars in my opinion.
